MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dean Pontin

Grad Dip ( Mining), Bachelor of Applied Science (Survey) Member, The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM) # 220088

Mr Pontin has 35+ years in the resource industry with a proven track record in permitting, project development, construction and operational activities in the gold and copper mining/processing environment. Direct responsibilities include all aspects of project management, risk assessment, operations management, short-term and long-term planning and engineering, operations supervision, environmental permitting and engineering, budgeting / cost control, project work as well as contractor negotiation and supervision.

He has a proven ability to plan, assess risk, develop and implement strategies, co-ordinate and manage project teams and resources to common goals. Ability to integrate projects into current operations with good risk management and business continuity planning. Experienced in dealing with multicultural and multinational projects with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Development and implementation of project methodologies at strategic and operational levels. Mr Pontin is one of the founders & Managing Director of Golden Camel Mining Pty Ltd. Mr Pontin is also the majority shareholder of Golden Camel Mining Pty Ltd. Mr Pontin has held senior management positions with Elysium Resources Ltd, Archipelago Resources Plc, Oxiana Limited, Newmont Gold Corp, and Barrick Gold Limited. Prior to founding Golden Camel Mining Pty Ltd, Mr Pontin successfully permitted, managed construction and operated several gold mining operations in Australia & SE Asia, including being SGM at Barbara Copper Mine in North Qld.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Neb Zurkic

Master of Mineral and Energy Economics, Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) Member, The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM)

Mr Zurkic is a qualified geologist / geo-statistician with 30+ years experience in the resources sector including project development, resource estimation, resource / reserve auditing and JORC statement reporting. He has held senior resource development, project development and public company management positions as well as consulting roles through his own consultancy in Australia and Overseas .

Mr Zurkic is the Principle & Managing Director of Zurkic Mining Consultancy Pty Ltd and one of the founding directors of Golden Camel Mining Pty Ltd. Mr Zurkic has held senior positions with Newmont Gold Corp, Elysium Resources Ltd. Burraga Copper Limited and Republic Gold Limited. Prior to joining Newmont Mr Zurkic worked for nine years in various senior geology roles for Perseverance Corporation Pty Ltd, the original developer of Fosterville. During this time, Mr Zurkic developed the modern models that led to the successful development of Fosterville and identified the potential of Golden Camel Mining’s existing suite of projects.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Rob Sebek

BAppSc(App.Geol), BSc(Hons), MBA, MAusIMM, PS146

Mr Sebek is a qualified geologist with 25+ years experience in the resources sector including exposure to import/export analysis and negotiations. He has held senior mining and exploration positions in Western Australia and Victoria as well as consulting roles in the fields of precious metals refining and tenement management within all states in Australia.

Mr Sebek was the Managing Director of ASX listed Iron Mountain Mining Ltd (ASX:IRM) between 2008-2016 during which he oversaw the discovery, delineation and sale of bauxite, gold and iron ore projects. During this time, there was no capital dilution as IRM was 100% organically funded for maximum shareholder value.

Prior to this, Mr Sebek was employed as a Metals Analyst with Commonwealth Bank Australia providing technical and financial analysis on global and domestic mining and exploration projects. Mr Sebek has extensive experience in providing a full suite of geological, corporate and management services from initial project assessment to detailed investment analysis and evaluation as well as consultancy services for bulk commodity broking/trading.

PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER

Jim Morison

Jim’s 30 years’ experience in the resources industry has been gained in delivery of engineering and construction projects in Australia, the Americas, South Pacific and South East Asia. He has worked for contractors, EPCM companies and owners on small and large projects, predominantly gold processing plant developments.

For the last decade, Jim has been a director of Axiom Project Services, an established project services consultant operating primarily in the mining industry.  As Operations Director, Jim has been responsible for management of all facets of operations including development of company procedures and processes, staff planning, procurement of insurances and management of the company’s PNG operations.  Jim’s specialty is the management of contracts and procurement functions, however he has also led project services teams and managed construction.

Jim is an accomplished project delivery professional who communicates effectively at all levels to contribute positively to the achievement of project success.

Arnaud Lavignolle

MEng(Ind)(Hons) CCE

Arnaud has over 15 years’ experience as a professional engineer working in estimating, planning and cost control of complex multi-disciplinary project developments. He has managed teams to deliver effective project controls on a number of significant mining and resource industry projects as well as establishing planning and cost management systems.

Arnaud’s expertise includes capital cost estimation, budget control, forecasting, progress measurement, change management, planning & scheduling, and risk management.
